As the International Affairs Assistant, Breuer supports NPPC Vice President and Counsel for International Affairs Nick Giordano regarding international policy and NPPC’s trade policy program which focuses on opening, maintaining and increasing market access for U.S. pork.
Prior to joining NPPC, Breuer was the Rural Export Contractor for the U.S. Department of Commerce – Export Assistance Center in San Antonio, TX. While there, he worked with Foreign Commercial Service Officers to market U.S. manufactured goods abroad. He also assisted Texas-Mexico border trade missions to increase trade and communication between U.S. manufacturers and Mexico’s maquila industry.
Breuer received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a focus in Mexican Studies from Austin College. He has studied at the Universidad de Granada in Granada, Spain, American University in Washington, DC, and Tecnológico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. Currently, he is working on his master’s degree in international trade policy at George Mason University.
