Audrey Adamson is Vice President for Domestic Policy Issues for the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC). She is responsible for directing NPPC domestic policy initiatives as well as overseeing operational activities at NPPC's Washington, D.C. office.
Previously, Adamson was NPPC's Assistant Vice President for Public Policy. Before coming to NPPC in 2002, she served as the Washington Office Director for the 13-state Midwestern Governors' Conference. Prior to that, she worked for the U.S. Department of Energy, managing several programs related to the ongoing environmental clean up throughout DOE’s nuclear weapons complex. Adamson also managed a national project working with state and local governments to implement radiological transportation emergency preparedness plans. Earlier in her career, Adamson worked on international trade issues related to the steel, machine tool and semiconductor industries.
Adamson holds an undergraduate degree in political science and history from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a Master of Public Administration degree from The George Washington University. While pursuing her graduate degree, she was awarded the Ford Motor Company Congressional Fellowship.
