Robert Cogan is Assistant Director of Communications for the National Pork Producers Council. He works with Communications Director Dave Warner to disseminate NPPC’s messages to legislators, producers and the public.
Before joining NPPC, Cogan worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide for Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, R-N.C. While there, he was able to draft legislation for Rep. Foxx, which was signed into law by President Bush. He also worked on several legislative issues and managed constituent correspondence for the congresswoman.
Cogan received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Hartford. He also studied at Bond University in Queensland, Australia, and at the American University in Washington, D.C. Cogan currently is working on his master’s degree at the U.S. Naval War College where he is studying National Security.
