Communications Internship

The Communication intern provides support to the director and manager of NPPC’s Communications Department, performing various tasks, which require strong writing, analytical and communications skills. Daily, the intern will read, compile and distribute media stories related to the U.S. pork industry. He or she also will attend meetings and congressional hearings when necessary to take photos and report on important information, therefore, a strong interest in public policy is beneficial. Weekly, the intern will help write a summary of NPPC’s legislative efforts for Capital Update. The intern also will assist in the writing of newsletters, brochures and content for the NPPC website and social media sites and maintain and update the media contact, membership list and publications lists.
