Bill Luckey is part-owner of a sow farm in Columbus, Nebraska where, with his wife two sons, he operates the family farm of 600 crop acres, cattle, sows and finishing hogs.

Bill is on the NPPC Board of Directors and several committees. He has served as the President and Secretary of the Pla-Co Pork Producers, President and Vice President of the Nebraska Pork Producers Association as well as serving on several National Pork Board Committees. Other leadership and affiliations include: Nebraska Soybean Growers, Nebraska Lead Class XIX, Platte Co Ag Society, Platte County Extension Board, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, Nebraska Rural Radio Association, Platte Valley Cattlemen and Speak up for Ag.

He was awarded the 2012 Hall of Fame award from the University of Nebraska and Block and Bridle Club. Bill attended Platte College and University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in Animal Science.
