Ken Maschhoff is a fifth-generation pork producer with the Maschhoff family business near Carlyle, Ill. He is chairman of Maschhoff Family Foods and co-owner and chairman of The Maschhoffs Inc., the third-largest pork producer in the country, producing about 3.5 million market hogs and 500,000 feeder pigs a year.

In addition to serving on the board of the National Pork Producers Council – including a stint as vice president– Ken serves as a member of the board of directors of Midland States Bank and Midland States Bancorp, Inc. and works tirelessly on behalf of the pork industry.

Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Industries from Southern Illinois University (SIU), where he was selected “Outstanding Senior in Agriculture.” In 2005, he received the Service to Agriculture award from SIU’s College of Agricultural Sciences. He is a graduate of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program. He and his wife Julie live on the home farm near Carlyle, Ill., and have four children.
