Annemarie Pender serves as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC). In her role, Pender directs NPPC communications strategy, planning, and execution, as well as coordinating media relations efforts. She also supports NPPC’s public policy, industry relations, and resource development teams.

Prior to joining NPPC, Pender worked for Autos Drive America where she played a key role in transforming the brand and launching the newly created association. She also spent ten years at the Association for Global Automakers where she designed and managed public affairs campaigns. Pender has experience working for American Honda Motor Company, Inc., Mazda North American Operations, and American Textile Manufacturers Institute, as well as serving as an adjunct strategic communications professor at American University.

Pender earned her B.A. from Christopher Newport University and a M.A. in Public Communications from American University.
