Francis Forst

Francis grew up in Lamar, Missouri and remained there to start his own operation and eventually raise his family.

Francis is the owner and operator of Forst Farms, Inc. which he started alongside his wife, Connie, and their four children.  His operation consists of a contract nursery/finisher, crops, and a cow/calf operation.

In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Pork Producers Council, Francis represents producers on various national committees, including Chairing the National Pork Producers Council Investor Member Relations Committee.

His local involvement includes the Missouri Pork Association Board of Directors, previously serving as President.

Additionally, Francis previously served on the Missouri University Extension Office Board of Directors, Synergy LLC Board of Directors, and as the Missouri Operations Manager (farrow to finish operation) for Synergy, LLC.

Francis retired at the end of 2022 and continues to reside on the family farm in Lamar,  along with his wife Connie. Francis and Connie stay busy traveling and participating in their 10 grandchildren’s activities.
