Neill Westerbeek

Neill Westerbeek is a Business & Grower Process Improvement Manager for Smithfield Hog Production. He has spent his career in various aspects of agriculture production, including vegetable, grain, and animal production.

Neill serves on the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) Board of Directors and represents producers on various national committees, including the NPPC Pork Industry Nominating Committee. Neill also serves on multiple committees for the North Carolina Pork Council, including the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and the Public Policy Committee.

Neill’s local leadership includes membership on the NC Foundation for Soil and Water Conversation Board, James Sprunt Community College Board, University of Mount Olive Agricultural Department Board, Sampson County Friends of Agricultural Board, and NC Farm Families Board.

Neill is a life-long member of the Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church, serving in many capacities, including as an elder. Neill has also served in various roles in Boy Scouts of America, including Cub Scout Leader, and has worked with many local non-profits, including the Squealin’ for a Cure Relay for Life Team.

Neill is a graduate of North Carolina State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in horticultural science.

Neill and his wife of more than 27 years, Susan, and their two boys reside in Warsaw, North Carolina.
