Board OfficersPat Hord serves as CEO of Hord Family Farms, a fifth-generation family farming operation located in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and surrounding states. They raise approximately 8,500 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay as well as care for 47,000 sows and pigs from birth to market. They also feed approximately 1,200 beef cattle per year, operate 3 grain elevators, employ 350 team members and partner with over 200 farmer swine growers.
Pat currently serves on the National Pork Producers Council Board of Directors as Vice President and represents producers on various national committees, including NPPC’s Budget Committee, Tax Task Force, SIP Marketing Committee, Political Action Committee, and Trade Policy Committee. Pat also serves on Wendy’s Animal Wellbeing committee, which is a sounding board for management on issues related to animals.
Pat’s local leadership includes the Ohio Pork Producers Council executive committee, Crawford County Economic Development Board, as well as serves on the Lifewise Academy board. Pat is also a member of Crossroads Church.
Pat and his wife Janel have been married for over 36 years, reside on their family farm near Bucyrus, Ohio, and are parents of 4 children Phillip (wife Becca, 3 daughters), Colleen, Mallory, and Melissa (husband Rob & 1 daughter).
