Kelcy Schaunaman serves as the Manager of Competition, Labor, and Tax for the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), where she advocates for policies that support the U.S. pork industry in these critical areas.

A native of northeastern South Dakota, Kelcy grew up on a cow-calf operation, raising corn, wheat, and soybeans. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from South Dakota State University and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota School of Law.

Kelcy brings a strong background in agricultural policy to NPPC. She previously served as Associate Counsel and Legislative Assistant for the House Agriculture Committee, where she worked on key issues impacting farmers and ranchers. Most recently, she was a Senior Policy Advisor at USDA’s Farm Service Agency, advising the Administrator on policy implementation and regulatory matters.
