R.C. Hunt, a hog farmer from Wilson, N.C., is a past president of the National Pork Producers Council. In addition to hogs, he raises cattle, runs a fish operation, and farms 1,000 acres of cropland.

R.C. also served on the board of directors and the executive committee of the North Carolina Pork Council (NCPC), the board of directors of the North Carolina Agribusiness Council, the board of trustees for Louisburg College in Louisburg, N.C., and as vice chairman for the United States Aquaculture Cooperative. He is a past president of NCPC’s board of directors, past chairman of the board of the Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport Authority and past president of Wilson Wide-A-Wake Kiwanis.

Hunt earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from North Carolina State University.
