Trachelle Carr is an International Technical Services Specialist for the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC). In her role, she assists NPPC Assistant Vice President of International Affairs, Maria Zieba, with market access issues as they relate to non-tariff barriers to trade. She works directly with veterinarians and organizations such as the USDA to address pork-related issues within other countries.

Prior to joining NPPC in 2019, Dr. Carr served as the lead analyst for pork market access issues at the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service where she worked in the area of trade policy and foreign programs.

Dr. Carr received her B.A. in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her M.A. in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University, and earned her Ed.D. in organizational leadership from Argosy University.

Dr. Carr is a native of Prince George’s County Maryland, where she currently resides.
